The good news about No Limit Texas Holdem Poker it that its rules are easy. On the other hand the bad news is that its depths and secrets are difficult. Our knowledge about opponent's card comes from incomplete information. When you play No Limit Texas Holdem you know only part of your opponent's cards; you can't see two cards in his hand. It will be described further how to deal with it. Here you will find only basic rules. Maximum 10 players take part in the game. The game is started by betting on small blind and big blind subsequently by two players on the left side of dealer. The dealer deals cards clockwise. Every player receives two cards, which are known only to him. In this round we continue the game or fold. Playing starting cards will be described later.
Preflop phase is finished when 3 cards are dealt face-up on the board forming what it is called "flop". In this phase also bidding takes place, every player may take part in it or fold.

The fifth card is dealt face-up on the board, then another bidding. Remember that you have 2 cards in your hand and five cards on the table to your disposal. Within 7 card combination only 5 cards are range of your poker hand.

How to assess the starting poker hand

Usually you make first decision at the beginning of Texas Hold'Em game on ground of two cards in your hand.

How to know that the poker hand is good?

It depends on the number of players, however the general rule is that if you have two different cards, and each of them is lower than ten, you should seriously consider fold before the flop. More conservative player can fold even if one of the cards is lower than ten. However the aggressive player will play even if he has got in his hand e.g. eight and nine of the same suit (there is a possibility for straight or flush).

If big blind (forced bet done to increase the pot that it would always be anything to fight for) is low enough, you may risk playing to see the flop, even if you haven't got particularly strong cards. However try not to overuse it - you may have problems quicker that you think.

The second part of strategy in Texas Hold ŽEm is based on what kind of cards you have got in your hand. You have to be prepared for streak of weak hands (e.g. 5-8, 2-6, 4-9) and you should be patient. Good cards will come up soon, and you will have bigger opportunities to make good use of them, if you won't loose your buttons.

How to assess community cards

Don't be afraid of fold after seeing first three community cards (the flop). The common mistake of beginners is to think that when they are already playing, so they can play till the end. It is nothing further from the truth

When there are seven players, at least two pair may lead to a victory. If you haven't got a pair after flop and don't have any perspectives to get straight or flush, you should fold.

However you should remember that the fewer players, the less probability of really high poker hand. So when you play against two players, the aggressive play may pay off.

When you bet first after the flop, don't be afraid of call. It may bring you two benefits. Firstly, if you have weak cards, you can see another card without necessity of betting large sums of money. Secondly, if you have strong cards, you may suggest to your opponent that your hand is lower than in reality.

Forth and fifth community cards (the turn and the river) give you another two opportunities: either fold before you will loose more money, or increase the pot. At this moment of a play probably one or two players will go on playing. The best advice is to be vigilant and alert. After the turn, don't go on counting on straight or flush unless you can gain it calling (i.e. without putting another buttons into the pot).

The most important advice is: "don't get yourself involve too far in the game having weak cards"!

How to play on different positions

Poker Texas Holdem is a game awarding good players/sharks. Of course a bit of luck is needed, however in most cases good player will beat weak player.

The best Texas Hold ŽEm position is dealer. The player on this position is the last one to make a move in three out of four betting rounds: after the flop, the turn and the river. When it is your turn, you know how many players stay in the game. Owing to this knowledge it is easier for you to make a decision how much to bet or if continue playing at all.

Player with "small blind" position is in the worst situation, because he is the first one to make a move after the flop, the turn and the river. If he is an aggressive player, it may bring him some profits; however it is better to be the last one betting round.

Check how many players continue the game

Normally weak hand, which is weak when you play with seven players, may be relatively good when you play with two or three people, because of the lower competition at the table. What is more, the fewer players, the oftener you have to do forced bets (blind), so you have to play more aggressively.
